Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 18, 2026 · Sir Callsalot
The service helps private individuals make their own phone calls for personal errands: you speak; the assistant shows live captions, can suggest replies, speaks sentences you type, and translates. This policy defines what that may be used for. It is part of the Terms of Use; you accept it at sign-up and confirm it again with the declaration before every call.
1. What the service is for
- Asking a business for opening hours, availability, prices, or other information.
- Booking, rescheduling, or cancelling an appointment; making or changing a reservation.
- Contacting customer service about your own order, booking, delivery, subscription, or support case.
- Making the call yourself with live captions, reply suggestions, typed sentences spoken for you, and live translation.
- Test calls to your own phone number (verified by SMS).
Calls go to businesses, organizations and authorities in their business capacity — never to private individuals. The only exception is your own SMS-verified number.
2. What is never allowed
Tasks of the following kinds are refused, and requesting them repeatedly leads to enforcement:
- Commercial outreach of any kind: advertising, promotion, sales, canvassing, cold calling, lead generation, arranging sales meetings or demos, recruitment or candidate sourcing, market research or surveys, satisfaction campaigns, fundraising, political campaigning, debt collection.
- Volume calling: bulk or list-based calling, repeating substantially the same script across businesses, or sequential calling of many similar recipients.
- Deception and abuse: threats, intimidation, harassment, stalking, retaliation, discriminatory or abusive communication; fraud, social engineering, phishing, or collecting credentials; impersonating a person, business, authority, bank, medical or legal professional; attempts to bypass someone's identity or security checks.
- Prying: obtaining confidential information about another person, calling competitors under a false pretext, fake customer inquiries, review manipulation.
- Protected targets: emergency services; calls to or about children; numbers on our suppression list.
- Unlawful matters: anything that violates applicable law, including telephone-marketing (§7 UWG), data-protection, and criminal law, or that involves illegal goods or activities.
3. Disguised commercial use
Describing a commercial task as private does not make it private. "Ask 30 bakeries whether they'd like my platform", "call potential clients about an offer", "follow up with my leads", "conduct a survey for my startup" — these are commercial outreach regardless of wording, and the screening looks at what a task does, not what it is called. Several similar tasks in a row are treated as a campaign.
4. Identity, voice and honesty
- You speak for yourself on every call. No AI conducts the conversation; the only synthetic speech is a sentence you typed and chose to have spoken — rendered word-for-word, in a voice from our catalog.
- Do not use the typed-speech voice to deceive: presenting it as the voice of a specific real person, denying that a spoken sentence came from you, or otherwise misleading the called party about who is speaking is a violation.
- The name on your account and tasks must be your real or commonly used name, or that of a person who genuinely authorized you. Invented identities, names of businesses or authorities, and misleading or offensive names are prohibited.
- The caller ID shown on calls is a number controlled by the service — it is never hidden, invented, or user-selectable.
5. Called parties can opt out — permanently
- When a called party says it does not want further calls made through the service — on the call, or by contacting us — its number is placed on a service-wide suppression list. If someone asks you that during a call, respect it.
- A suppressed number cannot be called by any user, and the block survives account deletions. When you try to enter such a number, the app tells you the recipient asked not to be called — nothing more.
- Attempting to circumvent a block — a different spelling of the number, another account, another number of the same organization after it declined contact, or asking someone else to place the call — is a serious violation and leads to suspension.
6. Screening and enforcement
- Every task is screened before a draft exists — by automated classification plus fixed rules (blocked and suppressed numbers, destination checks, premium-rate ranges). Declined tasks are not stored; we log only the category of the refusal, never your text.
- Every destination number must be verifiable as a business — via directory lookup, a service-number prefix, or your explicit attestation. Your own number qualifies only after SMS verification.
- Before every call you confirm the call declaration; without it, no call is placed. The confirmation is recorded.
- Violations lead to the measures described in Terms Section 11 — from refusing a single task up to immediate account termination without refund of remaining credits, to the extent permitted by law.
7. If you received a call made through this service
Information for called parties — what data a call involves and how to block future calls — is in the Privacy Policy, Section 6. The short version: say on the call that you do not want further calls made through this service, or write to [email protected], and your number is suppressed service-wide.
